Welcome to the Arlington Virginia Chapter of The Compassionate Friends

The loss of a child, at any age and from any cause, is one of the most difficult, painful and traumatic experiences in life.Many families feel hopeless and isolated. But you are not alone.

The Arlington Virginia Chapter is part of The Compassionate Friends, a national, nonprofit, self-help support organization which offers friendship and understanding to families who are grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause. Our purpose is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child and to provide information to help others be supportive.

We are non-denominational. There are no membership fees or dues, and all bereaved family members are welcome.

The secret of TCF's success is simple: As seasoned grievers reach out to the newly bereaved, energy that has been directed inward begins to flow outward and both are helped to heal.

Arlington Chapter Annual Candle Lighting Service
Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 6:00pm at Friendship United Methodist Church, 3527 Gallows Rd.,Falls Church 22042. Doors open at 5:45pm. Candles will be provided. You do not have to be a member of TCF to attend. Bring a picture of your child and an appetizer or dessert to share. Fellowship following service.
